The RENTAL Act

This presentation is a review of the Rebalancing Expectations of Neighbors, Tenants, and Landlords Act (the “RENTAL Act”). The RENTAL Act is a DC law that went into effect on December 31, 2025, and significantly amended the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA). The CASD is the government agency responsible for administering TOPA. Mr. Fletcher will present on the changes to TOPA contained in the RENTAL Act and how CASD is implementing those changes.
